When the system ain’t broke why fix it

I subscribe to the saying that if it is working all right then do not change it. With IT systems that is also true. A cousin had wanted to impress the owner of their company that he had commissioned a programmer to redesign their inventory system. It was working all right but after sometime the bugs came forth and the system was a bit better since it did not crash. If the computer system is working good then stick to it.
