What is the difference between a thread and SCOR diagram?

Whаt is thе diffеrеnсе bеtwееn а thrеаd аnd SCOR diаgrаm in thе соntеxt оf supply сhаin (mаnаgеmеnt)?

AFAIK thread is a certain type of a sequential representation whereas SCOR is an attempt (so called reference model) to formalize/visualize certain aspects of SCM, as developed by the Supply Chain Council. Personally I am not utterly convinced of the usefulness of SCOR given the typical complexity at play when it comes to SCM.
