What are some of the biggest barriers to technology adoption in Supply Chain and Logistics?

There appears to be ample opportunity and tools available to build "smart" solutions and automation within the supply chain, but adoption doesn't appear to be an automatic "yes" for a lot of companies.

Thanks in advance for responses!

Barriers to technology adoption in supply chain management

Inadequate information system: Inadequate information system is that lack in quantity and quality of information if not enough information is shared or the information shared is of little value strategic SCM may fail.

Lack of willingness to share risk and rewards: As employee don't have clear understanding of what SCM is and how will benefit their job so they are not willing to share their risk and reward.

Lack willingness to share information: Lack of trust is one reason that people are not willing to share information openly .because they have fear that if they share their weaknesses with their chain partners then they might use their weaknesses against them in near future. So Trust is pre-requisite in effective supply chain management.

Insufficient data framework: Inadequate data framework is that need in amount and nature of data if insufficient data is shared or the data shared is of little esteem key SCM may come up short.
Absence of eagerness to share hazard and rewards: As representative don't have clear comprehension of what SCM is and in what capacity will profit their activity so they are not willing to share their hazard and reward.

My take on the topic is the drone delivery because it is an innovation that will be very beneficial here considering the usual heavy traffic on the roads plus the truck ban during the daytime. What if the drone can deliver even small items then the truck ban can somehow be lessened in terms of delivery problems. But the biggest obstacle in using the drone for delivery are the unforeseen situations particularly that pertaining to accidents. But if Amazon will be successful in its testing of the drone then I guess that will be most popular in our country.
