Supplier Scheduling

Hello everyone, brand new member to this forum, so I am hoping for some exciting feedback.

I am interested to understand why suppliers and retailers still adopt a very manual supplier scheduling process over the new Appointment Scheduling services that are made available today.

I feel I am sometimes missing the reason for non adoption of this very simple concept that brings huge value, companies I have seen use this system have made massive savings and improvements and I am perplexed as to why this has not taken off more?

If for example you are a retailer or supplier and fit into any of the following -

Have poor performing suppliers
Suffer with queuing at the gate
Issues with managing capacity
Telephone booking in process, which takes up staff time
Holding to much stock
Issues with throughput
Paying out to much warehouse overtime

why has an automated appointment scheduling solution not been considered?

I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Regards

Chris

Sometimes, business just want to double check each or the products before distributing it. Which, I believe cannot be done if you will be using an Automated one.

Re: Supplier Scheduling

It is still possible to automate the appointment scheduling but include human checks before the schedule is finally published. This means the schedule is optimised but also validated.
