Petty complaints that affect efficiency

I’m sure you have encountered a staff who complains incessantly with anything that doesn’t please him like no cold water in the pantry of the sticky floor that needs polishing every hour. What to do with that kind of employee? My take on the issue is to ignore the complaints since they are petty and sometimes nonsense too. It is noticeable that the complainer would only complain when the HR would entertain him.

I have encountered so many complainers in my staff before. When I was a manager, I would always give it a good thought when I receive a petty complaint. But now I just let it go and pacifying the complainer has been my habit. It is no use to spend time on such petty matters like the noise of the employee beside him or the eating in the work place.
