Erring employees should be reprimanded


This is a swipe on the lower levels of personnel who seem to have no good manners. I have encountered incidents with delivery personnel who are rude and arrogant. When reported, a sanction should be in order just to let it be known that the company does not tolerate such bad attitude on the road. Another group are the cargo laborers and forklift operators and not to mention the janitors.


I have been handling a big number of staff under me that I understand this issue of reprimand. What we usually do is to sanction the employee with a corresponding to the gravity of the violation of rules. One example is attendance that continual absences can put them in hot water that is usually a suspension of 1 day with no pay. That punishment definitely discouraged absences and tardiness in our office.
