Clean police record of workers

This issue is a problem here regarding low-paid workers. It is not common but it is not rare either to discover that some of the workers in the maintenance section or in other sections employing laborers have criminal records. When the happens it is the responsibility of the HR department since they have to screen very well the applicants before scheduling them for the final interview. But on the other hand, when there is a dire need for workers, HR officers tend to cut corners in the hiring procedure.

This reminds me of the office manager who masqueraded as another person to hide his criminal record. There is a movie of Leonardo Di Caprio about a criminal who was so good in forgery that he was changing names easily to hide his footprints. In the end he was caught and served as consultant of FBI.
