  • Lesser personnel with a good software

They say that automation will not rob the people of their jobs but letís admit that the computerized system will make things easier hence the need for lesser number of people to handle the operation. I had seen the manual system of things particularly the inventory of the stocks in the warehouse that takes days to complete when there are only few workers handling the task. A computerized auditing system that would immediately give you the number of available stocks will free the workers of the tedious task of physical counting..

I also disagree with the statement that automation is not an issue for workers. Indeed there will be less jobs and not everyone can shift from a manual work to a supervising one. It will make sense in terms of efficiency for repetitive tasks where automation can be more accurate than human, the question what to do with the workers should definitely be addressed but is probably a society/ political topic rather than a pure entreprise dilemma.
