     Company is a $1.4B leading global manufacturer of safety and flow control products for plumbing, heating and water quality applications with manufacturing operations in Europe, Asia and the US as well as an extensive global warehouse and distribution network.
     Products are sold to OEM, Wholesale and Retail in the Plumbing & Heating, Water Quality, Irrigation, Fire Protection, Food Service and Municipal Waterworks markets.

     Company is engaged in improving operations through efforts in LEAN manufacturing and advanced supply management. Company is a global player and must find and maintain partnerships to control cost, quality, and availability.
     In 2007, Company announced the transformation of its Integrated Supply Chain Organization. Under a new leadership, Company is transitioning its Purchasing Function from a decentralized tactical group to a more centralized Strategic Sourcing cross-divisional organization.

    Candidate Requirements
     BS in relevant field plus MBA (preferred). CPIM/CPM/CSCP certifications preferred
     LEAN/Six Sigma experience. Technical/Engineering background preferred
     5+ years commodity management and strategic sourcing experience in a world-class global manufacturing company
     Responsibility for at least $100 Million spend
     Manufacturing systems experience including MRP, ERP, etc
     Broad product and industry background. Experience with contemporary supplier integration techniques and manufacturing processes
     Excellent financial acumen especially as related to sourcing and supply chain
     In-depth supply mgt expertise with successes in working capital improvement, continuous improvement and cost optimization
     International Sourcing experience. Multilingual capabilities.
     Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

    Position Responsibilities
     The Global Commodity Leader will be responsible for developing the supply network (including global sourcing, strategic planning, contract negotiations, total cost optimization)
     Global supplier development and working in a matrix environment with global strategic sourcing initiatives
     Vendor management develop & implement vendor score cards, monthly review, VA/VE, and metrics
     Low Cost Country sourcing develop strategies and bench marks
     Commodities: steel, iron, castings, machined parts, electronic, hydraulics, etc.
     This position will be measured by total cost reduction (6% year over year material cost productivity improvement), vendor performance and inflation/market volatility management
     Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships. Ensure continuity of supply
     Collaboratively develop strategy and roadmap for future Supply Chain
