    Our client is a warehouse-based logistics company located primarily in the Western United States. The client provides a wide-range of warehousing and transportation services throughout North America. They operate over 4.4 million square feet of warehousing space with 17 locations in the Western United States and Canada.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Through a collaborative relationship with the Chairman and Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic direction and executive leadership to advance the company's mission and objectives. The CEO will build and lead the management team to ensure profitable growth and increase shareholder value and will oversee the management of company to ensure efficiency, quality, high levels of service, and cost-effective management of resources.

    • Oversee the organization and develop plans to profitably grow the company, primarily through organic growth throughout all service verticals
    • Lead the implementation of a strong customer relationship management process
    • Conduct critical analysis of all operations and sales processes.
    • Working with the SVP of Sales, develop a sales organizational structure and tactical “go to market” plan to optimize the Company’s sales organization and resources to drive organic growth from both new and existing customers.
    • Develop a 5 year strategic plan for the company that involves the following: A) Evaluation of current verticals, service offerings, and customer base and rationalizes each. B) Makes recommendations and offers tactical plans for prioritized investment or exit of verticals. C) Recommends new opportunities for organic growth.
    • In collaboration with the Board, create a strategic plan for the company with annual operating plans and budgets that support the achievement of the strategic plan.
    • Within first 90 days and on an ongoing basis, provide assessment of current operations, service offerings, and clients for the purposes of ensuring the chairman and the board is in agreement with the direction of the company.
    • Oversee the management team in developing annual budgets, submit budgets for Board approval and ensures progress is made in achieving these operating plans and take appropriate remedial action when targets are not met.
    • Ensures the organization is operated according to current laws and regulations.
    • Maintain a close relationship with the Board by advising and informing Board members on operations and financial status, seeking assistance and guidance regarding material financial and/or operational issues facing the Company, and securing approval of the Board and Chairman on all material financial and/or operating decisions of the Company consistent with the Board’s approval authorities.
    • Continually promote a Customer Centric culture through personal interaction with Key customers and programs

    REQUIREMENTS
    • 10+ years experience in third-party logistics in a leadership role for a large division or company.
    • MBA in Business Administration, Organizational Development and/or Leadership or equivalent degree is desired
    • Demonstrated track record of achievement in management roles.
